Coach Lili - Girls Teams, Head Balance Beam Coach

Coach Lili‘s strong background in the sport of gymnastics allows her to coach a variety of classes at TAAG, from recreational students to our upper level Teams. Prior to coming to work with us, she built an impressive 20 year coaching career working with students all the way through collegiate level gymnasts. She has spent time instructing yoga, aerobic step, Body Pump, and Zumba classes. She still continues teaching yoga twice a week at the Y.M.C.A. in addition to working at TAAG, and maintains her safety certification in gymnastics through USAG.

Coach Lili first began building her knowledge with 20 years of competition in both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. An elite rhythmic gymnast, she competed at the international level as a member of China’s National Team. Lili was ranked the number one rhythmic gymnast in China, a National Champion at 20 years old. She continued to compete until the age of 25. Lili graduated from Beijing University of Physical Education with a B.S. in Gymnastic Dance. She was the first Chinese college student sent abroad to study rhythmic gymnastics in an effort to help develop and improve China’s own rhythmic gymnastics program.

Coach Lili’s passion in the gym comes from wanting to be the best coach she can be to her students. Her favorite event was always the bars because she exceled at it. Lili's training and expertise allow her to serve as a National Level Judge. She has 10 pet ducks that she enjoys watching in her pond. Lili loves being active and believes in the motto: “move it or lose it”.

Coach Dee - Girls Team Coach

Coach Dee has experience coaching all recreational classes, from Parent & Tot through Advanced Tumbling, and is a member of the Teams coaching staff. He has been coaching since 1995 on all events. Currently, Dee coaches Levels 3, 4 and  Xcel teams and Advanced Tumbling.

Dee began gymnastics at the age of 9, continuing on to compete through Levels 9 & 10. While competing, Floor was his favorite event because he loved the idea of launching himself in the air.

Coach Dee would like to be “Mighty Mouse” because he is strong, smart, & will take on any challenge! He has a big personality and brings a ton of energy to the gym.  He loves coaching the sport of gymnastics and using his skills to help his students excel to new levels. Dee wants all his students to have a positive attitude so that they can work together to achieve all their goals.

Coach Terri - Girls Team Level 1/2 Coach

Coach Terri fell in love with gymnastics at age 2 when her mom took her to the YMCA for a Mom & Tot class.  She competed with the Pearland YMCA gymnastics team starting at age 5.  She began coaching at 14 and, as a teenager, coached the YMCA girls team while training at CStars gymnastics.  She also coached at Karolyi's Summer Camp in 1998.  Terri was Captain of the Pearland High School Gymnastics team in 1998 and 1999.  She has an extensive knowledge of fitness and has competed in state level body building competitions, taking home gold and bronze medals in 2012.

She is a local area Realtor, marketing guru and considers her two dogs, Maverick and Meeka, her four-legged children.  She remembers the impact her coaches had on her as a small child and enjoys being a role model for the girls at the gym. She hopes her athletes create great memories and enjoy the sport of gymnastics as much as she did!

Coach Terri is Head Coach of our Levels 1 & 2 girls teams.

Coach Tara

Coach Tara has been coaching gymnastics for more than 6 years, and currently teaches recreational classes at TAAG. She previously has coached a variety of classes including our “Tiny Tots”, “Rising Stars”, Level 1 & Level 2 Girls gymnastics, and Tumbling. She is also part of our Teams coaching staff, working with Pre-Team through Level 7, and is CPR certified. Tara is also USASF certified.

Tara was one of Coach Anna’s gymnasts, participating in gymnastics for 10 years and competing through Level 9. She was also an acro student for 3 years, competing through Level 8. Her love of tumbling made Floor one of her favorite events. She also enjoyed Beam for the graceful routines.

Coach Tara has 2 pet fish and would love to be “Catwoman” if she could be a superhero. Her love for her gymnasts keeps her coming back to the gym, and she always wants them to do their best in whatever they choose to do in life!

Coach Allison

Coach Allison comes to us with over 25 years of coaching experience.  She's had many artistic gymnasts (through Level 8) qualify to state and national level meets.  She also had two teams travel internationally as part of the National Delegation to World Gymnaestrada.  She took her first team to Goteborg, Sweden in 1999 and the second team to Lisbon, Portugal in 2003.

Allison earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Kinesiology minor from Texas A&M University in 1995.  She continued her education at the University of Houston Clear Lake and graduated with a Master's degree in Fitness and Human Performance, Sports Psychology Specialization, in 2000.

Coach Kylee

Instructor Kylee is both a current competitive team member and instructor at TAAG. She has been involved with gymnastics since she was six years old and is currently competing as a Level 7 Optional gymnast. Kylee has been working with the Rising Stars, Shooting Stars, and Silver Stars classes for almost a year now.

Kylee loves competing on all events, but she is especially drawn to beam and floor. She feels these two events allow her to show her confidence while making her feel like the only one in the room. The fact that floor combines dance, tumble and jumps really encourages her to go all out, making it her absolute favorite.

When she’s not in the gym, Kylee’s three dogs keep her busy. She owns a Dachshund named Ruby, a Golden Retriever named Ranger, and a Great Dane/French Mastiff named Angus. Kylee would like to walk a day in Batman’s shoes. She admires his ability to fight crime and keep others safe without any special powers. Kylee would like all her students to know that she is there for them and is willing to help them with anything.
